Wab794 deaparting Dannevirke after a short service and waiting to cross with a freight train.
The freight train was held at Dannevirke due to the 160km/hr gale force winds and the old Ormondville Viaduct just ahead. The road was also closed after 4 trucks were blown over, an ambulance rolled and a caravan jackknifed (to mention a few). The winds around Dannevirke and the South Island made headline news that night - Tuesday 23rd October 2007
