RB 651 is owned by Mainline Steam and has a HiAB fitted. The HiAB was built by CWF Hamilton & Co Ltd in Christchurch. The HiAB is powered by a small petrol Honda motor and it is has a grab bucket that is used to load coal directly into the steam locomotive or to lift 400kg bags into the coal bunker. The wagon has stablising feet that are lowered to the ground when loads are lifted. The wagon's crane can only be used by specially trained members of FDSRS.
Minor modifications have taken place to allow this wagon to be placed between Wab794 and UC191. These modifications include water pipes and an electric cable to allow water to be pumped from UC191 to Wab794 through Rb 651.

RB being loaded at Steam Inc The RB is being loaded at the Steam Inc yard. It was used by Steam Inc with their steam engines when out on the mainline, but was surplus to their needs and trucked to Feilding in July 2003.
