These 2 carriages were know as A56833 and A56884 while they were being restored. When they were mainline certified they were reverted to their pre TMS numbers as it is more historically correct.

We have a gang of about seven people working on the carriages, some work full time. Here you can see the rusted spark guards being removed.
Removing a seat 17th May 2003
Water has got into some parts of the carriage and removable of some of the seats is required to fix the problem.

The sides have been removed so we can check for rust in the brackets.
Cleaning the crash ends Work Week - March 2003
Once needle gunned we used a electric wire bush to clean up the crash ends then painted them with primer.

We need to remove the cladding so the brackets could be checked for rust.
